Citizens of Canton will help shape the city’s future by selecting a new mayor in 2023. With a crowded field of candidates, the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Repository are joining forces to provide an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the candidates for mayor and their vision for the Hall of Fame City in advance of the May 2nd primary vote.

Please join us for The Future of Canton: 2023 Mayoral Primary Forum at the Cultural Center’s Main Stage. All Democratic candidates have agreed to participate and answer questions from the Canton Regional Chamber and the Repository.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. Moderators for the forum include Repository Managing Editor Rick Armon, Repository Reporter Charita Goshay, and Chamber Vice President of Economic Development & Public Policy Jeff Dafler.

PLEASE NOTE: The Republican candidate is unopposed in the primary, but we will have a second forum the November general election to hear from each party’s nominee.
