BIO: John McLaughlin

As Vice President of Business Development, John is focused on helping Stark County grow and thrive. He’s enthusiastic about collaborating with organizations who are similarly looking to create economic vibrancy throughout Stark County. John is also passionate about advancing understanding of the talent gap, enhancing site preparedness, accelerating the adoption of innovation, and promoting Stark County as a business destination. Working in close partnership with the county and regional economic development network, John strives to create coordinated business development strategies that attract new businesses and help current Stark County companies remain competitive and successful.  

Prior to joining the Stark Economic Development Board in 2019, John served in a multitude of leadership and staff positions in the Army for over 24 years. He earned a M.A. in Military Operational Arts and Science from the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies and Bachelor of Arts in English from Lafayette College.
