Leadership Stark County is now accepting applications for the Foundations of Leadership program beginning January 2027. Foundations of Leadership is a 6-week soft skills leadership development program for young professionals ages 18–30 who want to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and develop a strong professional presence.

The 2027 Foundations of Leadership class will meet for six program days from January to March. Classes meet Mondays from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, with opportunities for connection and networking throughout the program.

Attendance at five of the six required sessions is necessary to receive a Foundations of Leadership certificate of completion. The program schedule is as follows:

Week 1 – Professional Presence & Workplace Communication – January 25, 2027
Week 2 – Presentation Skills & Public Speaking (Part 1) – February 1, 2027
Week 3 – Networking: In-Person & Online – February 8, 2027
Week 4 – Presentation Skills & Public Speaking (Part 2) – February 22, 2027
Week 5 – Professional Etiquette & Workplace Events – March 1, 2027
Week 6 – Leadership Showcase & Graduation – March 8, 2027

The full tuition cost for Foundations of Leadership is $675, and scholarships may be available.
