Board Matching
Friday, December 4, 2026 (9:00 AM - 11:30 AM) (EST)
Description

Leadership Stark County is collaborating with BVU (Business Volunteers Unlimited) to bring Board Training and Board Matching back to our community.
Whether you currently serve on a nonprofit board, are interested in getting involved, or are an Executive Director or nonprofit staff member, this training is for you. The morning will be packed with practical information, new insights, and tools to help you better understand effective board service.
- Board Training: Friday, November 13
- Board Matching: Friday, December 4
***Please note: To participate in Board Matching, participants must complete the Board Training session.
What to Expect:
This event connects professionals with opportunities for involvement in the nonprofit sector in a speed-networking format. About 10–15 representatives of nonprofit organizations will participate. Participants will meet with each of them in 5-minute rotations, just enough time for them to share a bit about their careers and interests, and for organizations to tell them about your mission, programs, and opportunities for involvement. At the end of the night, both participant and organization will indicate on a confidential form which they'd like to continue conversations with. If the interest is mutual, we will provide their contact information and resume/bio, and both participant and organization will take it from there to keep the process moving after the event.
After registering for the Board Matching, we will be reaching out to have participants complete a small application, so we have all needed information to best serve them during the Matching process.
