ACAA: House Bill 159/MTAP Bill Briefing Session

Description

We invite you to join the Akron-Canton Advocacy Alliance for an in-person briefing session on House Bill 159 with the bill’s sponsor, State Representative Nick Santucci.

House Bill 159 would create the Manufacturing Technologies Assistance Grant Program (MTAP) to provide grants for projects that increase the productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness of manufacturers in Ohio, and includes provisions that ensure small- and mid-sized companies can access and benefit from the funding. This legislation is a top priority for business groups statewide, and the Akron-Canton Advocacy Alliance is working to promote the bill and build a robust coalition of support.

During the discussion, Representative Santucci will detail the legislation, key stakeholders will discuss why it’s important for Ohio’s manufacturing industry, and there will be time for a Q&A session.
