SCSC June "GreekFest" Luncheon

Join us at the final Safety Council Luncheon of FY25 for a fun and informative session focused on outdoor safety.

Enjoy delicious GreekFest food under the big tent (rain or shine) while learning from James Woodworth, Natural Resources Supervisor for Stark Parks, as he shares important tips on staying safe outdoors. Topics will include sun exposure, ticks, poison ivy, heat-related illness, and other seasonal hazards.

It’s a great opportunity to connect with fellow professionals in a relaxed setting while learning how to stay safe this summer


IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

The GreekFest luncheon begins at 11:00 a.m.  Please sign in at the registration table which will be located at the entrance of the Event Center. When you sign-in you will receive a GreekFest gift card. Once you receive your card, enter the building where you'll find various GreekFest vendors. Grab your meal and make your way to the Big Tent, located outside, where the seminar will take place.

BIO: James Woodworth

James Woodworth is the Natural Resources Supervisor at Stark Parks, where he’s been part of the team since 2005. He started out as a Natural Resources Technician and worked his way up through several roles, always staying hands-on and connected to the land. He earned his A.S. in Parks, Recreation, and Wildlife Management from Zane State College and his B.S. in Biology from Muskingum University.

James has always loved the outdoors - whether it was fishing, working on his family farm, or spending summers volunteering at a youth camp. Now, he enjoys passing that love for nature on to his own kids. When he’s not working, you’ll probably find him wrenching on his Jeep or heading out on an adventure with family and friends.

At Stark Parks, James helps lead habitat restoration projects. In 2024 alone, he and his team planted over 1,600 trees and added more than 50 acres of pollinator habitat across the county.

You do not need to be a SCSC member to attend - all are welcome!  Season passholders do NOT need to register.
